Common Entrance Test Karnataka
The Common Entrance Test (CET) Karnataka is conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore. 10 +2 or PUC passed students appear for this examination for the purpose of taking admission to 1st year Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga /Engineering / Technology / Architecture courses for the seats to be notified by the Government in the Professional Educational Institutions in the state of Karnataka.
The admissions to engineering / architecture degree courses are purely made on the basis of CET merit of the candidate. A candidate has to study 4 years to purse a degree in engineering (B.E.) and 5 years to pursue a degree in architecture (B.Arch.)
Important for CET (Engineering) Karnataka Aspirants
The rank list for Engineering & Technology courses will be published only for those candidates, who have secured 45% of marks taken together in the optional subjects in last qualifying examination, irrespective of marks secured in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the Common Entrance Test (CET). However SC and ST candidates with 40% marks are eligible for the CET.
Note: For admission to Architecture course the candidate must appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the Council of Architecture.
