COMEDK UGET 2014 Exam Pattern & Syllabus

COMEDK UGET 2014 administered for admission into 1st years’ professional degree courses of COMEDK Member Institutions. Given below are the COMEDK UGET exam pattern 2014 and syllabus:

COMEDK UGET 2014 Exam Pattern

Test answers should be marked on the OMR answer sheet. No negative marking will be used, each correct response earns one mark. In the case of multiple marked answers, no credit is given.

1) Engineering - total 180 questions

Engineering courses will have one paper that includes physics, chemistry and mathematics. The paper will be 3 hours in length.


  • Physics (60 questions), Chemistry (60 questions) and Mathematics (60 questions): 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

2) Medical/ Dental - total 240 questions

Two papers will be held: Physics & Chemistry (2 hours) and Biology & English (2 hours).


  • Physics (60 questions) and Chemistry (60 questions): 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Biology (60 questions) and English (60 questions): 2:30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.

3) Medical/Dental and Engineering - total 300 questions

One paper will include physics, chemistry and mathematics (3 hours). The second paper will include biology and English (2 hours).

Both (MBBS/BDS and B.E.)

  • Physics (60 questions), chemistry (60 questions) and mathematics (60 questions): 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Biology (60 questions) and English (60 questions): 2:30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.

Ranking will be based only on the scores in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

COMEDK UGET 2014 Syllabus

Generally, the questions are asked from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology of 10+2 level of examination.

Topics in Physics : Heat and thermodynamics, electrostatics, oscillations, thermal and chemical effects of currents, electromagnetic induction and alternating currents, physical world & measurement, introduction, description of motion in one dimension, description of motion in two and three dimensions, etc.

Topics in Chemistry : Chemistry of representative elements, nuclear chemistry, electrochemistry, chemical kinetics, chemistry in action, chemistry of biological processes, biomolecules, polymers, chemistry of carbon compounds, coordination chemistry and organo metallics, transition metals including lanthanides etc.

Topics in Mathematics : Vectors and three dimensional geometry, matrices and determinants, circles, coordinate geometry, exponential and logarithmic series, Probability, correlation and regression, differential equations, definite integral, integral calculus, differential calculus etc.

Topics in Biology : Diversity in Living World, Structural Organisation in Plants and Animals, Biology and Human Welfare, Ecology and Environment, Reproduction in Organism, Genetics & Evolution, etc.
