National Institute of Technology

The National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, popularly known as KREC, is a premier autonomous university. It was founded in July 1960, as a joint venture between the Government of Karnataka and the Government of India, originally under the name Karnataka Regional Engineering College, Surathkal (KREC).

NIT, Surathkal is in Top 10 engineering colleges of India , at no.8 in best engineering colleges in India Including IITs.
